A Quibble

I wish I had a reply function to my comments! This is a quickie in response to something somebody posted on my Nanoo Nanoo post.

drop shadow tutorials for 2.5 + 3.5 $ = 6 $ ? just do a Google search and it's all for free

Yep, you're not obligated to buy them at all! But they are expressly written for scrapbookers, and they're printable, and well-explained... *shrug* You could also Google on how to use Photoshop & Illustrator, and make your own kits! =) I'm sorry you feel like you have to comment anonymously, though. =(

I put as much work preparing the tutorial as I would to teach a class, and $2.50 and 3.50 is a tiny amount for what you'd pay for a class, eh? What's that, a coffee and a scone? But for me, this is my only income...

And look how much I -do- give away for free! This must be font weekend, here's another coming up (I still have to work on the thick and thin of the strokes, and I only painted the caps last night):

Anyway, be well everybody--enjoy the day you're living, as you'll never get it back!

  1. aaaahh...someone who didn't know you and your generous personality......sad person, doesn't know what he/she is missing!

  2. Sure, I could google to my heart's content but I doubt I'd find something so tailor made to my specific needs, so easily understandable and more importantly, comes with the ability to ask the person who wrote it questions and *know* that you will get a clear, concise answer.

How the hell is that not worth at least $6?

  3. I agree with Romy : You are a generous woman... and I like this new font

  4. well said. I cringed when I read that, why do some freebie hunters have to be complete tossers is beyond me. Please do not think we are all like that, I am in awe that you are giving us exclusives and designing fonts (which is very rare as a scrapper blog freebie, trust me I have looked and not many offer them for free, if they have designed them)

I am looking for a particular font, I wonder if you have it?
I would like a joined handwritten script, with medium sized flourishes - think paislee press word art (blush) So hard to find.
    I wonder what it is.
Anyhow, painted looks a treat, and I would love any journalling fonts too, small ones would be so ace.

    Miss Renee

  5. Oh my word, someone's bein' rude!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and Heather, what a really really cool font!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sometimes I use annonymous when my computer is acting silly and won't cooperate, but then I include my name in the note:)
Heather you rock! and you put alot of work into your tuts, so yeah you DESERVE to be paid for them!!!!!!!!!

  6. Arrrrrgh! Heather, that comment was so uncalled for!! I love your tutorials - I bought them when you were at PC and I learned so much! They are personal and take you step-by-step and you are available for help!

Anyway I have already used What Do We Do All Day font on a layout and I love it! The new one is fabulous - waiting with bated breath!!!

  7. You are generous-- and talented! <3 <3 <3
