Published!
Ooh! Just found out that an oooooooooooooold card of mine was just published in Stampington's Take Ten Summer 2010 issue:
I'm sorry that I don't remember whose stamps those are, but there's a fleur-de-lis stamp on the striped vellum, and then that abstract gold pattern.

My 6th Post...
Wow, I didn't realize it had been that long! My blog opened the day before Christmas in 2007--when I finally realized that digiscrapping was a big enough part of my life to actually blog about it...
Sandrine launched a challenge to re-display your 6th post ever. So here it is:
"I'm totally in love with Rhonna Farrer's curlicue work--perhaps I've mentioned that before. But besides sitting down and spending hours in Illustrator, you can also work with stuff that you have already, particularly the swashes that exist in certain fonts, such as Easy Street EPS. That's what I did here in my latest digital layout, "fleur."
First, I enlarged a couple of letters in Photoshop to about 240 points or so--I think I was working in particular with the A, C, and V. I used the lasso to select the portions of the curlicues that I liked, then opened a new image and cut and pasted 2 or 3 sections until I had a shape with plenty of interest. I then made a brush out of it, then used the brush for painting, dodging, and erasing both in the green frame, and in the background photo. Turns out kind of nicely, I think!"
I make myself laugh... =) And it would be fun to get some links to your 6th blog post--just leave it in the comments!

Sneak Peek Giveaway - Designer Spotlight [closed]
Guess what? I'm going to be the spotlit designer at The DigiChick on the 19th! That means my whole store (except for tutorials) will be on sale at 30%! And, I'm coming out with a new kit, DillyDally. Here's a sneak peek:
And I'd like to give it out to two of you! I'm going to be going to San Francisco in June, so just leave me a comment with a tidbit about that city--anything you know personally, or just something you've picked up along the way in movies, or even just your impression of it! Then, on Wednesday [yeah, I changed that, cuz me and the names of weekdays never did get along *rolls eyes*], I'll randomly pick two winners for the whole kit for free (it's a big'un!). How's that for a deal?
Here's wishing you a wonderful week!

New @ The DigiChick: Paint Shapes 1
Paint Shapes: these are really cool--they look like paint directly on a canvas! Plus, I included the brushes, so you can make your own (use a small bevel and emboss once you've colored it to highlight the paint ridges).

Everything with my Ephemeral kit @ MScraps. Font: Strassman Script. Lovely & Ethereal, and Sunshine actions by Pioneer Woman.
Everything by Digital Couture @ MScraps, mostly from her Vintage Flair kit, but also a bit of ricrac from Snips - Brown. Font: heathert.
Everything with Erika Zwart's Fresh kit (MScraps). Font: Mean 26 Serif.
Elements by Elo Designs (A Boy Story): train, balloon, flowers, grass, label; elements by Designs by Anita (Thibo's World): splats, crayon, glitter circle, string, frame for train stamp, stitching; papers by EHStudios (When You're Alone); template by Raji (rsk) from the MScraps iNSD Blog Train. Journaling reads: Finally, here has come the day of your desires: your SEVENTH BIRTHDAY. You were radiant, playing with all your guests so nicely, ripping present wrappings to shreds, bouncing up to give people kisses and hugs and thank yous--but your mind was so much on that Daylight Electric Engine in your bedroom that you forewent cake, and ice cream (and of course pizza, which you still haven’t learned to like). Here’s to another wonderful year with you, Allen!
All elements and papers from Elo Designs, A Boy Story (@ MScraps). Template by Josette for the MScraps iNSD Temp It and Flip It Challenge. Font: Frank the Architect.
Journaling reads: "It doesn’t seem to matter which beach we go to, what the weather is like, or any other variable: in under thirty minutes there you are with your hands in the water, trying to build something. It might be a dam, or a series of irrigation channels, or a highway system--whatever it is, building is just your thing."
For the scraplift chain challenge at MScraps, from a page by Fernanda (Elina), Spring.
Everything from MScraps: Background paper by Che Yang from her Sonny {Heart}s Candy addon freebie; background paper for rounded rectangle and tag from my SHC addon (the Softer minikit); colored papers from Designs by Anita (Thibo's World).
