I realized when it came time to make my blog posts for my two newest kits that there was NO WAY I could include everybody's layouts, and I was very bummed. So, I've set up a Flickr slideshow to show off everything! When you watch it, there are some options in the upper-right-hand corner, specifically to show the title--that will tell you who made the layout. I wish I could embed the slideshow, but Flickr doesn't seem to be able to do that...

Yep, it's that time again...

I need to expand my crew of awesome layout artists. If you're interested in playing with my designs (I sell at The DigiChick and at Mscraps) then please apply! I have my own CT forum where you sign up for kits if you can make the required amount within 3 to 4 days. I look forward to hearing from you!

Ok gang, I'm on the hunt for some more gung-ho layout artists to help get my name around. =) The way my CT works is that I post previews for my new kits on our private forum, and you sign up for it when you have the time and the mojo to scrap--once you sign up, the number of layouts requested for that kit should be completed in 2-3 days. If you haven't signed up for a while I'll ask you if you still want to be on the team, and if you sign up and don't make anything I'll ask you to leave the team, but other than that, things are way flexible! I usually come out with at least one kit a week, if not two, and an element/paper/wordart pack every once in a while.

To apply, please download the freebie kit and make a layout using 100% of my stuff, and at least 50% from this kit. Post your layout to your usual galleries, and leave me the link(s) in a comment to this post. You probably want to post this layout wherever you have galleries that you'd like me to look at in considering your application.

I'm not sure how many people I'll need; perhaps as many as 5 or so. But I need people who are dependable, real, and fairly skilled! You don't have to have English as your main language, either--just as long as you and I can communicate successfully, we're good. In fact, my team now is very international, and I really love that... =)

If you have any further questions, please e-mail me at the address listed on the right--but a big part of the application process is to screen for how good you are at actually reading instructions. Heh. =) Good luck, and I look forward to learning about some new artists!



Alors bonjour, je suis a la recherche de quelques artistes du scrap pour disseminer mes designs un peu. Ma CT marche de cette facon: Je poste le preview de mes nouveaux kits sur notre forum prive, et vous vous engagez a en faire le nombre requis de pages quand *vous* avez le temps et le desir. Une fois que vous vous inscrivez, vous aurez 2-3 jours pour fournir le nombre de pages requises. D'habitude je demande de 1 a 3 pages selon la grandeur du kit. Si ca fait un moment que vous ne vous etes pas inscrits pour quelque chose, je vous demanderai si vous voulez encore participer, et si vous vous inscrivez mais que vous ne produisez rien, je vous demanderai de quitter l'equipe, mais a part cela je suis assez flexible. Je sors en general 1 kit par semaine, parfois 2, et un paquet de papiers/d'elements/de word art de temps en temps.

Pour postuler, veuillez bien telecharger le kit en freebie et faire une page a 100% Heather T., et au moins 50% de ce kit-ci. Postez votre page dans vos galleries habituelles (surtout dans celles que vous voudriez que je voie pour faire ma decision), et laissez-moi les liens sur ce blog en reponse a ce poste-ci.

J'ai besoin de personnes sur lesquelles je peux compter, qui sont ouvertes, et assez fortes dans leur sens de design. Vous n'etes pas obligees de parler tres bien l'anglais, mais il faut que l'on puisse communiquer aisement.

My Wonderful CT

It's high time I introduce my Creative Team Members, who devote some part of their very busy lives to help show off my wares.

The person who has been on my CT the longest is my friend Julie K. in Taiwan. First of all, she's the reason I started digiscrapping, and secondly, her encouragement has kept me going even when it seemed like I would never become a "real" designer. Julie's 2 wonderful children are her most common scrap subjects, and they are both super-adorable...

Then, I had the temerity to ask Sandrine, better known as Timounette, if she might be interested. I say temerity, because I'd admired her designs for a long time, and she was CT'ing with me on Vinnie Pearce's team, and I'm no Vinnie Pearce! But she was really kind and said yes, and she continues to make marvelous layouts with her two children as well.

More temerity: I asked Christelle, aka Scrapenherbe, if she'd be interested too. I love her ultra-minimalist layouts about her daughter:

I felt they were all getting overworked, so I had a CT call in January, and our team was enriched by three more fabulous scrappers. First was Valé, another person from France (Sandrine and Christelle are also in France). She has a most adorable little boy with a 1000-watt smile!

Then came Stéphanie, aka Soleen, from New Caledonia! That taught me a little geopolitics... She too produces marvelous layouts about her family, and herself!

We have a family tradition, started by my late Grandfather, of giving each other three squeezes when we want to say "I love you"... This is all from my kit Innocent Surprise (Heather T. at Get Digi With It). Font: Luna. That gorgeous wedding cake frame is the White Canvas (the other smaller frame is from there as well), slightly recolored. The papers under the second frame are from the Flutter, First Bike, and New kits. The elements are from Flutter (sequins, beaded lace), Pieces of Me (one heart, Amour), I Live For (paper heart & staples), and finally Naturals (mother-of-pearl disc). Font: Kolker Brush.

Layout Catch-Up

Phew! It's been a busy week -- not so much on the digiscrapping front, though! Made some cards, have been working on a commissioned drawing (very much not my usual style, but it's been super-interesting to do), a couple of logos, a newsletter for my DH's clinic... plus a lot of school for Allen!

Here are some of the latest, though. I really am pleased with the one I did today--I started off with the photos (both from inside the car through the windshield, but one focussing on the raindrops, the other on the background), and then started adding some elements, and all of a sudden it came together! The green of the stoplight, the "green" in the text, the streetlamp element echoing the streetlamps in the photo... I like it when my subconscious gets to work! *lol*

Background shot is blended with a paper from her Naturals kit, and all the elements (clouds, helicopter--though I added "Coast Guard" in tiny letters on the side and colored it in--street lamp, stop light), and the alpha, from her Engines Ready kit. I continue to be amazed by Vinnie's talent and creativity. She's just amazing--and an incredibly sweet person to boot!

And here's a fun re-scrap of a photo I used when I was just starting out doing digital scrapping--a really beautifully pastel sunset. I did this in response to a 2Peas challenge--get inspired from packaging. Not being one for much packaged food in our house, I went searching on the web and found a great blog (The Die Line) for packaging design (a very cool subset of design, btw), and they pointed me to the Zull wine website with these funky striped labels, which I then used as part of my design. Anyway, long intro for just one layout!



Credits: Everything mine, I guess, except the font: 20th Century MT Condensed. I loved the lines and writing on the Zull wine labels I found online! They reminded me of sunsets, so I went ahead and looked for the right pic... The waves and sand dollar are based on stamps I've made for Art Neko.

Gosh, I haven't updated for a while... too many layouts! So I'll just show one more -- I was thrilled that it got mentioned in the Gallery Standouts!
